ISPM 15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is a global phytosanitary standard developed by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) under the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC).
The ISPM 15 standard was created to prevent the spread of harmful organisms, insects, and diseases through solid wood packaging materials (pallets, crates, crate collars, blocks, etc.) in international trade. It requires wooden packaging materials to be treated and properly marked to ensure they are free from pests.
